This fruit bowl was commissioned as a wedding present for a client’s sister. I was told that her colour preferences were for the natural shades produced by plant dyes such as greens, greys, browns and beiges.
Not having any glazes of a suitable colour to hand, I asked the client to select something suitable from a commercial glaze catalogue. We ended up with this nice crystalline glaze which had a suitable pattern and colour combination.

This vase was commissioned by the family of a young man who had sadly died. The client saw a similar vase at the Fountain Gallery Exhibition in May 2018. The request was for a memorial vase with a forget-me-not flower design, together with a number of white stars to represent the years of his young life.

The piece was produced jointly between myself, who made the pot and Liz Bernard who created the design and painted the flowers.
